The original AOS Supernova 2807 has been the motor of choice for 7” long-range builds since it launched. The 2807+ is a revision of that design, applying what has been learned since, including the technology behind a world drone speed record, to expand its capability for heavier drones.

It is intended for pilots who want freestyle response and long-range efficiency from the same motor, and is optimized around 7" and 8" props. Torque matters more at this prop size than it does on smaller builds: a large prop has high rotational inertia, so a motor that cannot change its speed quickly will feel vague regardless of how much peak thrust it makes.

From the Thrust Stand

Chris Rosser tested the Supernova 2807+ on the thrust stand against the best 2808 and 3008 motors available, all on an HQ 8x4x3 prop. The 2807+ scored highest overall, and was also the lightest motor in the test.

  • The most torque in the test. 0.442 N·m at 5,000 RPM, and more torque than every rival at every RPM measured.
  • The best responsiveness in the test. The highest acceleration figure at 92,155 RPM/sec, and the highest deceleration figure as well.
  • The lightest motor in the test. 56.4 g - 5% lighter than the lightest 2808 and 16% lighter than the 3008 it out-scores.
  • Efficiency at high power. Level with the best in test through the cruise range, and ahead of every motor tested at high power 2.21 kg of thrust at 900 W, against 2.12 kg for the next best.
  • Highest overall score in the test. 112.2 against 103.1 for the runner-up, across torque, thrust, efficiency, responsiveness and weight.

Torque and acceleration are what a 7" or 8" prop needs most, and the 2807+ leads the test on both while weighing less than every motor it was measured against.

That result comes out of the design process. Thousands of finite element simulations, including 3D transient field modelling, were used to resolve the compromises that normally define a motor this size, magnetic geometry, thermal path and mechanical stiffness, to ensure the motor delivers best-in-class performance when you need it most.
